Parts and Labour is a trendy little women’s boutique which offers the most on-trend Pacific Northwest styles. Ruddy Duck is a well-stocked family shop offering garments for young children, men & women. (Be sure to head to their upper floor to score some items on super sale!) In need of a little something special for your romantic getaway? The ladies at Foundation 45 will help you find the perfect piece. Or maybe you forgot to pack your snow pants or swimwear? Doug’s Sports can no doubt set you up with just the sporting ensemble you are looking for!
Here in the Northwest we are all about reduce, reuse and recycle – so why not hit up some thrift stores?! Hood River has a Boutique Goodwill, one of a select few we hear. This particular store offers higher end, better quality items than most Goodwill’s. Cutie Pie consignment is strictly a spot for the kiddos. Owner Brittany has revamped this little spot into an adorable thrift kids shop.
What town would be complete without a used bookstore? Artifact’s has a ton of books from which to choose, as well as some wacky novelty items. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself emerging from this store an hour later than you’d intended.
One of my favorite things about shopping in Hood River is the fact that a some stores still offer gift wrap! Waucoma Book Store does just that! They always have the latest selection of the best books. It is also a great place to buy gifts and is an excellent place to pick up fun activity-games for the kids to do while traveling or in a restaurant. Speaking of kiddos, if you ask any kid from Hood River what’s their favorite shop, G. Willikers is the clear winner with toys, books and stuffys galore! The Hobby Shop on 4th Street, another winner, particularly with slightly older kids, also offers gift wrap.
If you are the traveler in your family, and you want to take back some souvenirs so your loved ones can get a little piece of Hood River, The Gift House is the spot for this. From local eats to pictures of the beautiful Columbia Gorge, whatever you choose will bring a smile to someone’s face! Speaking of which; what girl doesn’t light up with a smile with the perfect amount of sparkle?! Chemistry has gorgeous pieces. Even if you aren’t in the market for jewelry, it’s worth popping in to check out the treasures. Or Sparkling Creations has some amazing finds in stones, beads and magical things!
We love our dogs in Hood River and this town would not be complete without a store dedicated solely to our furry friends. Gorge Dog has an excellent selection of toys, treat and leashes to properly spoil your pup!
